"... now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? ...”

Luke 18:1 - 8

One of our graduates will be attending Bible school in England. She asks for prayer, "I will be able to grow in my relationship with God at Capernwray."

II Tim. 2:15

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

Pray for continued steady progress in OT scripture checking of the Auye Bible. The main translator injured his back last week but thankfully was able to handle sitting at the computer. Pray for complete relief.

Ps. 119:35

Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.

Heaven is rejoicing as three saints ascended to the Church Triumphant. They were speakers of the Auye language. The Auyes received the New Testament just a few years ago with much rejoicing and thanksgiving. It was during the translation process that they turned from their tribal ways to worship the living and true God. The translator presided over the funerals and God gave him the words to minister comfort to those mourning. Thank God for bringing the Auyes to God through the ministry of His Word.

Ps. 115:16

Precious in the sight of the LORD
Is the death of His godly ones.

Mike has two band concerts this month. Please pray that no more rehearsals are canceled by other activities that seem to crop up unexpectedly.

Ps. 150:5

Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Please pray for all participants and staff for the OneStory May workshop starting on Monday. They're continuing with Bible story 13 out of 22, being translated into 6 Bibleless Papuan languages!

Rom. 10:17

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

A translation team will be doing a final check of 1&2 Thessalonians, 2 Timothy and Titus with a consultant, this week. This will be very intense, and they all need grace, patience, wisdom, health and strength to get through it.

Acts 2:8

And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?

Since Josh's tuberculosis is in the latent form, meaning it isn't active, treatment will be delayed until he returns from an overseas trip his work is requiring him to make. Please pray that the TB remains latent and will respond (quickly) when treatment begins.

II Cor. 12: 7

Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself!

At present, it appears that Mary will not be able to travel this summer for her check-up. Pray that things will be made clear. This request is carried over from last month. A decision will be made on May 15 concerning this travel.

James 4:13

Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

Please pray for the youngest boy living with us, Yem. As so many young people have to learn, Yem needs to develop the personal discipline to turn in homework and to study. Pray for us as we are foster parents to him. This is a repeat of the prayer request from last month.

Heb. 12:11

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

May is always a ridiculously hectic time at Hillcrest. There are so many ending procedures and celebrations. The teachers need shut down their classrooms as many of them go elsewhere during June and July. Please pray that everything will be done in a way that shows God's glory.

Acts 20:24

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

Thank you for praying for our friends, Jim and Judi. They have recovered from their maladies which were hindering their work. The recording of the Jesus film is done and they are in the process of putting it in production.  Praise the Lord!

II Cor. 8:11

I give my opinion in this matter, for this is to your advantage, who were the first to begin a year ago not only to do this, but also to desire to do it. But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability.

Our dear friends, Jim and Judi, are leaving the field "for good" next month. They wrapping up decades long service here and will be handing off their projects to other workers. Ill health is besetting them right now and slowing this process.

I Cor. 14:40

But all things must be done properly and in an orderly manner.

Later in April, the Elementary and Middle schools here will have a week of standardized testing. This is done to evaluate that Hillcrest is on pace with other schools in presenting materials efficiently. Please pray for our students to reflect the quality of education here.

Col 3:17

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

A translation team reports that interest is growing for the "T" New Testament. This is a great break through with this people group.

II Thess. 1:3

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater;

All the names of people have been changed.
