When we look back on these many years of ministry, we marvel at the works we have seen God perform, both personally and with Bible translation. We praise God for His gifts to us in His eternal work.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places;
yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Every two years, the school sends many faculty to a conference for teachers at International Christian schools. Pray for safe travels and meaningful sessions so the HIS teachers can return renewed and with more energy for ministry to our students.
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,
Because of the cancer that our long-term director is battling, Hillcrest School is searching for a new director to begin in the 2024 - 2025 school year. Pray the hearts of those being called and of those on the selection committee will recognize each other and we'll have a new director soon.
And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
The team for "Ed" language has finished translating the book of Jude and the first three chapters of Mark. Pray for the checking they are doing within the villages. This checking is to make sure the words accurately the meaning of the texts and that the phrasing is grammatically correct.
So now send me a man skilled to work ... to be with the skilled workers who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
I, Mary, am thankful for advances in medicine. He has placed people at the right place and at the right time with the right medicines. God has been good to me.
For I proclaim the name of the LORD;
Ascribe greatness to our God!

We give thanks for our financial and prayer partners. You all go before the Lord and pray daily for us and you physically sustain us in our work.
We also placed ourselves under obligation to contribute yearly one third of a shekel for the service of the house of our God:
One of our language workers writes, "Still no progress in extending my RPTKA. It expires on 30th November. Please pray for wisdom for the Suluh team dealing with this and for favour with the bureaucrats at Bimas Kristen [Christian] in the Departemen Agama [Religion Department] in Jakarta."

The boys, Afin and Yem, will be traveling to their home village in December. Please pray they will truly see Jesus in the holiday and not all the fluff and glitter which so easily attracts their eyes.
She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
As usual, I, Mike, am extremely busy. I do know what I need to do and in what order, but the issue is having either more speed in completing tasks, or to somehow be more efficient in time management.
So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.
Mary is scheduled to fly out of the US on Nov. 28. She has tickets which will take her as far as Bali, Indonesia. The next stage of the trip is from Bali to Papua and will cost around $500. We have not yet purchased those tickets. Pray, please that we may do so soon.
And He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not even have two tunics apiece.
Mary's father is in the later years of his life. His body has slowed and become more infirm. Please pray for wisdom for all involved that good decisions in his care will be made. At present, he is still living on his own. Pray for Mary as she is spending a great deal of time with him and helping him achieve his remaining goals.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
I, Mary, had an uneventful trip in mid-October to the US. I met with my doctor and the blood work was fine. Praise the Lord! Things have certainly changed for the better since 2018. My next appointment is June 2024.
The LORD God is my strength,
and He will make my feet like hinds' feet,
and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.
Wednesday, Oct. 12, is the mid-semester band concert. This is a teaching concert that has a primary purpose of introducing musical concepts to the younger grades and showing them different musical styles. Mike uses this time to instruct all the students, and many adults, in the Biblical concepts of music.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Pray for Mike during this time that Mary is away. Pray for his health, good time management, and joy in his work. This is a repeat of last month's prayer request.
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
