"... now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? ...”

Luke 18:1 - 8

PRAISE THE LORD! This is why you've sent us. Both Mike and Mary taught the children of these translators. The children are grown and are part of the new generation of evangelists. AND, the people ministered to by these translators have the New Testament to teach them God's ways. Please pray as this New Testament is undergoing the typesetting process. We hope to bring you pictures of the dedication service when it happens (not yet scheduled -- too early for that).

Ps. 122: 1-2

I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
Our feet are standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem,

Please pray for Mr. Subarti. He recently arrived in Papua from his home area where there had been significant Christian persecution. One of our translators has asked us to pray he will find employment soon and will be able to serve God in this province.

Acts 8:4

Therefore, those who had been scattered went about preaching the Word.

The covid travel requirements have eased significantly. While the country's health officials still remain vigilant, the quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated travelers has been lifted. Praise the Lord! [Just to be clear, Mike and Mary are vaccinated and boosted not because they trust the vaccine (we do NOT!), but because God is sovereign in all these matters.]

Ro. 13:1a

Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities.

We just looked over the hospitality list for our organization in Papua. There are 17 different family units arriving (and Mary, too, when the doctor visits are accomplished). Many people, including Mary, have recently left. This is for our organization, of about 10 different mission organizations, only. One family wrote how entrance requirements for countries along their itinerary changed at the last minute and they were denied boarding due to missing paperwork. It is very easy for that to happen; it happened to us on Dec. 30, 2021. Please pray for safety in travels, but also in clarity of requirements and the ability to have that happen.

Neh. 1:11

O Lord, I beseech You, may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name, and make Your servant successful today and grant him compassion before this man.

Pray for Ernest, as well as our other high-achieving students. Pray that serving and glorifying God will be the most important aspect of his life.

I Tim. 6:20

O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called “knowledge”—

Please pray for George and all our missionary kids. It is always a point of prayer that our students not take their Christianity as a matter of pure inheritance, but that it will be personalized as Truth in their own lives. Pray that we will be able to answer questions which may arise and that we may model Christ in a winsome manner.

Col. 1:9b

we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Please pray for Mike, from Australia. His parents are business people working interior. Mike recently graduated from Hillcrest and wants to return to Australia to work. Please ask that Mike's ears will be open to what God tells him to do and that he follows Christ throughout his days.

II John 8

Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

Selena is one of the recent graduates. She has been walking with the Lord and comes from a family which serves the Lord in the interior. At this time, she is too poor to attend college and has no clear direction for her life. Please pray she'll see the Lord's path for her and will continue to follow Him.

Is. 30:21

'Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.'

This year's Senior class at Hillcrest was special. Both Mike and Mary taught this group of students. While they were in Middle School we committed a number of them to special prayer as some were more challenging than others. Praise the Lord, they all were able to graduate!

I Sam. 16:7b

"for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Praise the Lord, Mary's travel to the US went smoothly. All the connections were made in good time without any difficulties with covid tests or paperwork. She made a couple of acquaintances along the way who were great help. She prays she represented Our Savior well and brought glory to Him.

Is. 57:14

And it will be said,
“Build up, build up, prepare the way,
Remove every obstacle out of the way of My people.”

We have asked you to pray for some dear friends undergoing cancer treatment. Mary has seen these friends recently and both are recovering well. They still need prayer as treatment has finished recently.

Jer. 33:6

Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.

It is prudent to keep an eye on this blood disorder I have. I will be be seeing my hematologist on June 22. Please pray for an accurate assessment. I expecting for everything to be well as I am not experiencing any symptoms.

Ps. 41:3

The LORD will sustain him upon his sickbed;
In his illness, You restore him to health.

Please pray, as you have been doing since this work began, that Mike and Mary would walk in a manner worthy of God, pleasing Him in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Pray also that this work would bear fruit and that as we go through our days, we would be drawn closer to Our Father.

Col. 1: 10

so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

The month of May is always a busy time at Hillcrest School. Pray the classes end in good order and that God is glorified in the lives of the people there.

I Cor. 10:31

Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

All the names of people have been changed.
