The literacy consultant who just received permission to return to the country is staying in the capital city with some friends. Please pray for these friends to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and that she would be a good witness to them.
Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
A literacy consultant had to leave this past spring when her visa was not renewed by the government. A new different type of visa has just been issued and she is now in the country again. However, she is not able to come to Papua until August due to restrictions on that visa. Please pray that remaining hurdles will be removed.
and the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have their request.
A family which has served in Papua for over 25 years is closing their household and relocated to the States to take care of aging parents. They hope to leave in the middle of July. Pray their goods will be sold and they will have time to say good-bye to their many friends.
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
The Smiths, who are working with the "K" people ask for prayer concerning upcoming consultant checks on July 15. They will be going over the Book of Luke with people who have not yet read this translation. Please pray that God will use His Word in the hearts of those who have not yet committed their lives to Christ.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ.
One of our translation teams writes, "The team is still looking for a local illustrator to illustrate some stories. The person needs to be here immediately for a few weeks (flexible hours and days). We have not yet found a suitable local person so we are opening this up to HIS students who would like to earn some pocket money. The going rate is Rp150.000 (about US$10) per kindergarten storybook illustrated.

One of our translators writes that although her work visa has been approved, monies being transferred from one department to the next, have not yet moved along the bureaucratic pipeline. Please pray the clog will be removed and she can return to her translation ministry.

Pray for a family of six who are coming to Papua to serve at Hillcrest School. They are in the last stages of preparation. This is the time when there is much joy and sorrow, excitement, and panic. Pray for them as they step out in faith, leaving an established life in the US to serve God in a new culture.
And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life.”
We have asked you to pray for our two close friends battling cancer. Praise the Lord! Both have completed their rounds of treatment and are doing well. At present, only follow-up care and monitoring are planned.
"And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
I need to purchase tickets back to Papua. Pray that all obstacles, such as forms and flights, will be cleared. Pray also for wisdom as there are significant differences in ticket prices now.
Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”
Several visas have just been approved and the teachers are making plans to return to Papua before the start of the new school year. Pray their plans go smoothly.
When you walk, your steps will not be impeded;
And if you run, you will not stumble.
As you know, we are foster parents for two Papua boys so they can receive a better education than is available in their villages. They just finished an extra month of summer school and are now with their family in their home village. They'll be returning to us in August. Pray for their month with their family.
And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
As you know, I, Mary, am currently in the States for my regular blood work. My appointment went very well and I am now cleared to return to Papua. Praise the Lord for good health.
I sought the LORD, and He answered me,

The Smiths also ask for the Holy Spirit to be at work among their people group. The people understand that to follow Christ is to leave the old gods forever. Please ask for the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sin and to convince them that Christ is the only one who can absolve them.

The Smiths are a translation team who are working with the "K" people. They are currently working on Luke, and the good news is the response from the people in their village. There has already been a sermon preached in the local language from Luke and some other people took Luke 2:11 and made it into a Christmas song, both done without prompting from the Smiths.
