I, Mary, will be attending the "Fools For Christ" Conference on the 12th. It will be held in Birmingham, AL at Briarwood Presbyterian and is presented by Ligonier Ministries. Pray, please, that the Word spoken will be emphasized in my life and that I will leave the conference with a renewed vision and commitment for sharing God's Word.
But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the Word of God and do it.”
Please pray that a technical issue that is preventing a government document from being issued would be resolved, viz: the system doesn't recognise the name of the lady I am supposed to be mentoring, where in fact, her name is in fact already registered.

The "X" Bible, both the Old and the New Testaments, is complete, printed, and will be dedicated during the last week of August. Please pray for good weather which is needed for all the celebrants to reach this remoted, mountain-top location.
"Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world."
Bible Dedications are joyous events and the culmination of the work of decades. Much prayer and care goes into accurate translations ensuring the accuracy of a translation. This takes a lot of people to accomplish. The translators of the "X" translation have three children, all of whom are married and are planning to arrive for the celebration. Pray for the travel of these families to the village to renew long established relationships.
... but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, so that your joy may be made full.
The "X" people have contributed quite a lot of money themselves for the printing of the "X" Bible and the dedication. They are also taking care of most of the preparation for that big day!
For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution ...
The complete Bible for the "X" people has been printed and has arrived in Sentani. They will be flown to a village in the highlands before the dedication later this month.
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts
A translation worker who has been working for over 30 years had recently been required to leave the country. Regulations had been changed and it has been difficult for her to be issued another visa this year. But, she persevered and turned in another request. Her VISA HAS BEEN GRANTED! She will be returning later this month.
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
Praise the Lord for more Scripture being translated and checked. Last week the “B” translation team checked 1-2 Thessalonians and Titus.
For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth,
Our good friends, the translators for the "K" people were stranded in their village due to heavy rains for over two weeks. Finally, the rains subsided and they were able to return to Sentani in time for an upcoming workshop.
Also, the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained.
So, in May, I traveled to the US. Now, it is time for my return to Papua. As shared before my medical tests revealed good news. I tried to purchase tickets for a return in July, but extremely high prices prevented that. Nevertheless, on the 19th I will travel to Papua again (the tickets were more than half of the prices in July!). Pray for me as I navigate covid regulations. We were caught short in late December and had to change our tickets at the last minute (although we didn’t lose time in our return). I would like to avoid the problem this time.
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities.
Pray for Mike as his class schedule has significantly changed. He was going to teach high school psychology and now it has been switched to a history class. Mike is adaptable but it is wearying to prep for one class and then have to switch to another.
Prepare plans by consultation,
And make war by wise guidance.
Our boys have returned to our home in Papua and have already begun their schooling. It seems there is always some drama involved, probably due to a cultural misunderstanding between the school and ourselves. Of course, the boys' inclinations to play and not study is part of the mix. Please pray for diligence and unity.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
One of our translation teams reports a problem returning to their village. The flight ministry serving their area has not yet received an inspection certificate from the government. Pray this is resolved soon and that the unplanned time outside of the village will be used profitably.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.
In July, one of the aviation ministries working in Papua has a retreat for their entire group. Please pray for those attending this conference, that they will be refreshed and renewed with a reinvigorated spirit of unity.
